We’ll proudly be closing the ArteVism Fellowship Program guest speaker series with the webinar History of the Chicano Movement with Lea Ybarra, PhD.

The impact of the Chicano movement of the 1960’s and the influence it has had on the present will be discussed, highlighting the role of Chicana women in the struggle. What were the main issues then and what are the issues now? How do we move to establish the economic, educational, and political legacy that our communities need to continue to move forward? That will be our main topic of discussion.
